Accessibility Policy

Last Updated: May 16, 2026

Sabbomi is committed to ensuring that its digital platform and all related services are accessible to every user, regardless of ability or circumstance. We believe that equitable access to practical education is a core responsibility, and we work continuously to remove barriers that may prevent anyone from fully participating in our workshops and learning environment.

1. Our Commitment

We strive to conform to recognized international accessibility standards and to provide an experience that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users. This commitment extends to our website, learning materials, interactive tools, and any other digital touchpoints we maintain.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project. We review our platform regularly and prioritize improvements that have the greatest impact on usability for people with disabilities.

2. Standards We Follow

Our accessibility work is guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines form the internationally recognized baseline for digital accessibility.

We also take into consideration the Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) when evaluating tools that allow users to create or submit content within our platform.

3. Scope

This policy applies to all pages and features available under the sabbomi.biz website and any subdomains operated by Sabbomi. It covers:

  • All publicly accessible web pages
  • Workshop and webinar content pages
  • Interactive exercises and assignment interfaces
  • Registration and account management flows
  • Contact and feedback forms
  • Downloadable materials where technically feasible

Third-party services integrated into our platform are outside our direct control. Where we rely on external providers, we request that they meet comparable accessibility standards and we evaluate their conformance as part of our vendor selection process.

4. Known Limitations

While we work toward full conformance, some areas of our platform may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria. Known limitations are tracked internally and scheduled for remediation based on severity and user impact. Areas currently under active improvement include:

  • Certain legacy video content that may lack complete captions or audio descriptions
  • Some interactive exercise components that are being updated to improve keyboard navigability
  • PDF documents created before our current accessibility standards were adopted

If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please contact us so we can address it promptly.

5. Assistive Technology Support

Our platform is designed to work with commonly used assistive technologies, including but not limited to:

  • Screen readers on both desktop and mobile operating systems
  • Keyboard-only navigation without reliance on a mouse or pointer device
  • Browser-based zoom and text scaling up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • High contrast and forced colour modes
  • Voice control and switch access software

6. Content Accessibility Features

6.1 Text and Readability

All body text is sized and spaced to support comfortable reading. Colour contrast ratios for text and meaningful UI elements meet or exceed the 4.5:1 ratio required by WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with critical interface elements targeting a 7:1 ratio where feasible.

6.2 Images and Media

Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked so that assistive technologies can ignore them. Videos published on our platform are accompanied by synchronized captions. Transcripts are provided for audio-only content.

6.3 Navigation and Structure

Pages use semantic HTML to convey structure accurately to assistive technologies. Headings follow a logical hierarchy. Navigation landmarks are present and labelled. Focus order follows a meaningful sequence and focus indicators are clearly visible at all times.

6.4 Forms and Inputs

All form fields include programmatically associated labels. Error messages are descriptive and linked to the relevant field. Required fields are identified in a manner that does not rely on colour alone.

6.5 Motion and Animation

Users who have indicated a preference for reduced motion through their operating system settings will receive a reduced or static experience for animations and transitions. No content on our platform flashes more than three times per second.

7. Language and Multilingual Access

Our platform is designed to support learners from multiple regions and linguistic backgrounds. The primary language of each page is declared programmatically so that assistive technologies can select the appropriate language profile. Where localized content is available, language switching does not disrupt the user's current position within a workflow.

8. Requesting Accommodations

If you require content in an alternative format, need assistance navigating a specific part of our platform, or require any other accommodation to participate fully in our workshops, please contact us. We will respond to accommodation requests within five business days and work with you to find a practical solution.

9. Feedback and Reporting Barriers

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our platform. If you encounter any barrier, notice an element that is difficult to use with assistive technology, or have a suggestion that would improve your experience, please let us know. Reports from users are one of the most effective ways we identify and prioritize improvements.

When reporting a barrier, it is helpful to include:

  • The web address (URL) where the issue was encountered
  • A description of what you were trying to do
  • The assistive technology or browser you were using, if known
  • A description of the barrier or unexpected behaviour

We review all accessibility feedback and aim to acknowledge receipt within two business days.

10. Evaluation and Testing

Our accessibility evaluation process combines automated scanning, manual expert review, and periodic testing with users who rely on assistive technologies. Automated tools are used to identify obvious failures and regression issues during development. Manual review addresses areas that automated tools cannot reliably assess, such as the quality of alternative text, logical reading order, and the usability of interactive components.

Major new features and significant design changes undergo accessibility review before release.

11. Training and Organizational Responsibility

Team members responsible for design, development, and content creation receive guidance on accessibility requirements relevant to their role. Accessibility considerations are incorporated into our production workflow rather than addressed solely as a post-launch audit.

Responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of this policy rests with our product and engineering teams, with overall accountability held at an organizational level.

12. Updates to This Policy

This policy is reviewed periodically and updated to reflect changes in our platform, applicable standards, and our remediation progress. The date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revision was made. Material changes will be communicated through our standard channels.

Continued use of our platform following an update to this policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
